We are a community of faith committed to following the teachings of Jesus Christ in a way that is compassionate and transformative. We believe that all people are made in the image of God and that diversity is a gift from the Creator.
We affirm the divine inspiration, truthfulness and authority of both Old and New Testament Scriptures in their entirety as the only written word of God, without error in all that it affirms, and the only infallible rule of faith and practice. We also affirm the power of God’s word to accomplish His purpose of salvation. The message of the Bible is addressed to all men and women. For God’s revelation in Christ and in Scripture is unchangeable.
At Hearts Harvest, we are committed to following the teaching of Jesus Christ in a way that is compassionate and transformative. We strive to create a welcoming community that empowers individuals to grow in their faith and serve their community.
Our vision is to be a vibrant, dynamic community of faith that engages with the world around us, working for justice and equality for all people. We envision a church that is open to all who seek a spiritual home, regardless of their background.
At Hearts Harvest, we are committed to living out our faith through a set of core values that serve as the guiding principles of our community. These values shape how we relate to God, to one another, and to the world around us. Compassion. Spiritual Growth. Community.
Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who server under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ
Pastors Terry & Karen McKinzie are no strangers to being involved in ministry. After they were married in 1986, they went into the mission field, serving in Jamaica. While in Jamaica they worked with over 30 children at the New Vision Child Care Centre in Christiana.
Once they returned home, they worked in nearly every facet of their home church before God placed them in the leadership roles of Minister of Worship and Children’s Pastor.
In 2002, God laid it on their hearts to begin Hearts Harvest Church. With it being a major step of faith, God continually has showed Himself faithful. The two have continued to extend their time and talents beyond the walls of the church, as they are both involved within their community as well.
Pastors Terry and Karen are blessed to be parents of three children; Megan, Ashley and Zachary, who are all involved in the ministry at Hearts Harvest Church.

I truly met Jesus and understood who He was when I gave my life to Him at 14. Unfortunately, not long after that, our family stopped attending church for a little while. A few years later, in 2005, I attended Hearts Harvest for the first time and have been involved on and off (mostly on) ever since.
My service began as a teenager with ushering, and a few years later Pastors Terry and Karen asked my wife Megan and I to lead the youth group, which we did for about 12 years. They also asked me to speak on Sunday mornings a few times a year, which I still do to this day. Around 4 years ago, my sister and her fiance got engaged and asked me to perform the ceremony. After being ordained by Pastors Terry and Karen, I became the Associate Pastor here at Hearts Harvest.
Megan and I have been married for 11 years, and while we don’t have children, we do have an angry little dog named Hazel, whom we love dearly, even though she is not a fan of most other people. I currently work in logistics, a profession I don’t love, but I have been blessed as the industry has provided a good living for our family. While I hope to transition out of that industry in the near future, until then, I will love my family, I will love God, and I will trust that He always knows the plan better than I do.
